We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your participation in the Closed and Open Beta tests of Hunters On-Chain. Your invaluable feedback has helped us improve the game, and we appreciate the time and effort you have invested in making it better.
Following the unprecedented success of the Genesis Drop, in which all our Hunters were minted in just 18 seconds for a stage that required a whitelist, we are excited to announce that a playable build of Hunters On-Chain will be released soon.
So, when is the game release?
We understand that a vague release date is not acceptable in this situation. We have worked hard through the bear market to ensure a seamless experience, and we are happy to announce that Hunters On-Chain will be released in March 2023, one month after the drop.
To ensure that the game is well-balanced and meets our players’ standards, we plan to release it on Polygon Mumbai (TestNet) initially.
Why TestNet?
Unlike the Open Beta build, this release will fully support blockchain features, including Sequence wallet integration and the ability to purchase and open Hunt Boxes with various contents: from Shards to Legendary Hunters.
Our ultimate goal is to drive mass adoption and lower the entry barrier to Web3 gaming. To achieve this, we will introduce free playable assets that have limited power and BGEM earnings as the Genesis Hunters but still provide the same fun experience nevertheless.
Additionally, we may re-balance and tweak the economy as needed. The in-game economy has undergone various simulations, and with this release, we will finally test its sustainability with real players. No matter what change we will implement afterward, your Hunters’ stats will remain the same, and Genesis Hunters will remain the most valuable and rewarding assets in Hunters On-Chain.
Hunters On-Chain Contents
Hunters On-Chain will offer several game modes:
- Hunt, a co-op PvE game mode where 4 Hunters survive in the arena
- Hardcore Hunt. It’s like Hunt Mode, but enemies are much more powerful, and there can be only ONE winner. BGEM rewards are increased.
- Boss Hunt, a co-op PvE game mode where 4 Hunters face increasingly harder waves of enemies and the final boss.
Energy consumption system
In the screenshot provided above, you can see that each game mode in Hunters On-Chain has a unique Energy Consumption entry level. The energy points you receive depend on the rarity of your Hunter, as illustrated by the two examples below. Additionally, the rarity of your Hunter determines the reward multiplier, which is why values for Legendary Genesis Hunters have soared on the secondary market, with a current value of thousands of US dollars for a single Legendary Hunter.
On the Hunters and Inventory tabs, you can Upgrade your character and manage all your Equipment, Artifacts, and Hunter Shards from all chests you’ve opened.
Wallet integration
We integrated a wallet log-in, allowing players who own Genesis or F2P Hunters to easily connect their Sequence wallet and view its content within the game. Currently, the game is only available with a Sequence wallet; Metamask and other popular wallet solutions will be added in future updates.
Hunt Boxes
As players progress through different game modes, they can earn $BGEM, the in-game on-chain currency of BoomLand, which can be used to purchase Hunt Boxes. These chests may contain $BGEM, various NFTs such as Hunter Shards, Equipment, Artifacts, and on rare occasions, new Hunters. The potential contents of each box will vary based on its tier.
Airdrop For The Genesis Holders
After the game release, we will be airdropping BGEMs to Genesis Holders based on their activity. Meaning that the more you play, the more airdrops the players are going to get, which will result in more box openings for those who hunt daily!
We will be taking snapshots of the smart contract interaction of each hunter and frequently airdrop the calculated amount to the holder wallets.
What’s next?
To keep things interesting, we will add Missions & Daily Quests on the next update in Q2 2023. Missions are sets of goals that offer valuable rewards, including new Hunters, and Daily Quests provide daily goals and earnings.
