Attention Landers!
We wanted to address the upcoming update to the Sequence API that will be taking place on the 21st of June. The update is aimed at offering users a hassle-free experience, now only requiring one wallet address that functions seamlessly across both Testnet and Mainnet.
This means that from the 21st of June, the wallet linking feature we deployed on boomland.io to associate different testnet wallets with a corresponding mainnet wallet will no longer be necessary.
Effortless Onboarding for Newcomers
New users will be able to immerse themselves in the Hunters On-Chain universe faster and easier. No longer will you have to create and manage two different wallet addresses. Just one address is enough to get you playing on both our testnet and mainnet builds.
What Does it Mean for Existing Users?
We understand that many existing users of Hunters On-Chain might be using both a testnet and mainnet wallet and logging in through various methods (email address, Google, social). This is where the update gets a bit technical.
In the new system, your testnet and mainnet wallet addresses will both become one “whole wallet” effectively leaving you with two distinct wallets instead of one, each capable of accessing both networks.
However, do not fret about losing any game progress or assets. Your current testnet address will retain all your hard-earned achievements and testnet assets.
When you log in via Sequence, you’ll be prompted to select an address to proceed with. Make sure to choose your current testnet address to pick up exactly where you left off.
We recommend over the next day or so to make a note of which wallet address is your current testnet wallet to make the selection process as straightforward as possible. This address will now be able to be used as both a Testnet and Mainnet wallet.
Easier Network Switching
This update also does away with the need to “enable testnet” via a button. The process of switching between chains will now occur after signing in, making the process far more streamlined and user-friendly.
As always, we remain committed to providing a smooth and engaging gaming journey. If any of this information is not clear or you require additional guidance please feel free to contact one of our moderators who will be happy to help you!
Additional F&Qs
I have logged in using the wrong address, what happens now?
Don’t worry! If you have logged into Hunters On-Chain using the address originally intended to be your Mainnet address, all you have to do is log out and select the other available address Sequence offers you. When you login here you will find all of your Testnet assets and your game progress will still be associated with this wallet.
I’m utilising multiple login methods, how will this impact me?
We recommend using the same method of logging in to your wallet every time you login to Hunters On-Chain. The reason for this is that, as Sequence generates a wallet for you following your first sign in, often multiple wallets are created when different methods of signing in are used.
You may find, for example, that if you have used your email address to login previously and then login via a social account the next time that your Testnet assets are not in that wallet. This is because two wallets have been created.
Again, we recommend you make a note of the current Testnet address you are currently playing on before the update occurs so you can be sure that all of your assets and progress are being attributed to one place.
Where will my rewards be sent?
Following the Sequence update we will be sending both Testnet and Mainnet rewards to the wallet address that you are using to play Hunters On-Chain.
